Is rock Dead? No, we still have Alcest

I have been sorely disappointed by the last couple of releases of some of my favorite rock bands.  Most of these guys are from the 90's and I think that most artists only have so many albums of material in them.  It actually feels like rock music might be dying.  But wait there is still one awesome band out there, and they're actually my favorite band right now! Alcest.

There's no other band on the planet like Alcest, and Niege is so young still, only a year younger than me.  I'm sure he'll top off the Shelter album with the new album that's coming out.  A lot of his fans have said that his music is the most emotional music they've heard in a long time.  Words and lyrics don't matter for the portion of us fans who don't speak French, it is just raw, pure emotion in his vocals.  Check out Shelter, and his prior albums, all near perfect albums in my opinion.

Now on to T.I.T.S.  Man we've had some great randoms from the web pledging, but still have a ways to go.  We are at 75% now with only 9 days to go, so it is crunch time!

KickStarter Campaign, slowly but surely!

Hi there all!

Our kickstarter campaign planning is going pretty slow.  We're converting all RGB pages to CYMK, had to touch up the lettering one last time, as well as still trying figure up all rewards.  Casey is working out all the technical stuff as far as pricing goes.  We're going to try and make this comic as cheap as possible and are only factoring in printing costs and shipping costs, while leaving out the majority of production costs! Stay tuned for more updates.

WonderCon/David Gilmour in L.A. last month - Issue 6 near completion

What's up folks,

We went to Los Angeles to see David Gilmour! What a show, parts of the show were absolutely transcendent.  I have seen every band I could ever want at this point (except Camel), and David Gilmour was a good concert and probably the last one I'll have time for in a long time.

After that we went to WonderCon in L.A. It was like most cons I've been too, lots of people, lots of stuff to buy, but also met some other cool indie creators that had their own tables set up.  I showed one in particular T.I.T.S. and she was like "why don't yal have a table?"

So that's what we are planning now, attending cons with our comics!  Yay!  We are planning the KickStarter for issue #1 at the moment, David has finished issue #6, we had initially hoped that we would get picked up by an actual publisher it would make things more convenient, but alas that doesn't seem to be what's going to happen, so on to self-publishing!

Thanks for reading, stay tuned for Kickstarter info.  We'll be sure to have more art shown and an issue #1 synopsis to give more info out about T.I.T.S.

Issue #4 Near Completion

Issue #4 is almost done! It has taken longer than I expected to get these first four issues done.  Initially I hope to submit to Image Comics by the end of September and it has just been getting pushed further and further away.  But, alas, I guess I can't expect the detailed work that David and Eve do to be rushed.  T.I.T.S. looks amazing I think, so I am grateful to have these two incredible artists on-board.

God Speed you Black Emperor!

Casey and I went to Dallas last week and watched God Speed you Black Emperor! for the 3rd time.  Such a great fucking band.  Also while we were there we visited 2 awesome comic book shops and bought tons of more comics from #Zeus Comics and Collectibles and #Titan Comics.  Now I have an even bigger stack of comics to catch up on, ha, oh well it is good to have several issues of one title you can read, that way I can go from say #RUNLOVEKILL one night and Invisible Republic the next night :)

Also, David has started the tight pencils for issue 4! And Eve is almost done with the colors on issue 3. Exciting times.
